Eastenders is aimed at a mixed type of audience. For example, if people who were around 20 at the time it was launched 25 - 30 years ago, they may still be watching it at 50. However it is not aimed at that audience in general. some would also claim that it is a family drama, despite all the death, violence and sex it involves. Also, because there is a wide range of age group with the characters, this also has an effect on the type of people who watch it.
ReplyDeleteThe Bill has changed a lot since it was first released. It was moved from an eight o clock to nine o clock screening about a year ago because of the added drugs sex and violence that has come in to the storylines. It is aimed at a wide age group, which ranges from around ages 15 - 50. If you like crime dramas however, you will like it even if you do not fall into that age group. It also tries to give viewers an impression of what the real London Police Force go through every day.
